As per the latest circulars from BSE and NSE, the lot sizes of index and stock derivatives are being revised. These changes will apply only to contracts from July 2025 expiry onwards, not before.

🔷 BSE Index Derivatives – Lot Size Change
In BSE index derivatives, BSE SENSEX 50 (SX50) is the only index where the lot size is changing. It will go from 60 to 75 starting from April 11, 2025 (for July 2025 expiry onwards). For other indices like BSE SENSEX (BSX) and BSE BANKEX (BKX), the lot sizes will remain unchanged.

🔷 NSE Index Derivatives – Lot Size Update
In NSE index derivatives, Nifty Bank and Nifty Midcap Select lot sizes are increasing. Nifty Bank (BANKNIFTY) will change from 30 to 35, and Nifty Midcap Select (MIDCPNIFTY) from 120 to 140. These will be effective for July 2025 expiry contracts only. Other indices like Nifty 50, FINNIFTY, and Nifty Next 50 will remain the same.

For BSE stock derivatives, changes are as follows:
- 120 stocks will have no change.
- 1 stock will have its lot size reduced.
- 89 stocks will have their lot size increased.
- 23,454 stocks will have the lot size reduced, but the new size won’t be a multiple of the old lot size.
All these will be applicable from April 11, 2025.

- 1 stock will have its lot size reduced.
- 90 stocks will have their lot size increased.
- 124 stocks will have the lot size reduced, but not in multiples of the old size.
These will be effective from April 25, 2025.
